Full Name: Pete Cottell
Born on date: December 4th, 1983
Age in People Years: 24
School You Attend: OSU, back when I was younger and cooler
Major: Communications
Type of Vehicle You Operate: 1992 Honda Accord
Favorite shot: The one that makes you wake up in your neighbors yard in a pile
of leaves
Obsessions: Music, guitar effects, cheese, The Cleveland Indians, rock gig
posters
Favorite thing to do to chill out: Relax with a High Life and the Tribe, or rock
out on my guitar in my room for hours
What Did You Want to Be When You Were Little?: Omar Vizquel
Pets: I’ve neglected a handful of reptiles and amphibians in my days, along with
a parakeet that managed to choke on its beak.
Favorite Band: “Cool” Band= Built to Spill. “Uncool” Band= Jimmy Eat World.
Favorite Album: “Clarity” by Jimmy Eat World- multi-tracked vocals, chugging
power chords, strings galore- no one is too cool to appreciate the awesomeness
of this album!
Favorite Sports Team: The Cleveland Indians.
Greatest Movie Ever Made: The Big Lebowski- watching that movie isn’t a
cinematic experience, it’s a lifestyle choice.
Greatest TV Show Ever Made: The Adventures of Pete & Pete, the most TV show to
ever hit the air. Iggy Pop was their neighbor, Michael Stipe made a cameo
appearance as an ice cream man, Luscious Jackson played their high school prom,
they chased an evil bowling ball all the way to Canada- do I need to go on?
Greatest reality TV show: The one where the spoiled, self-absorbed suburbanites
get drunk and talk trash every episode while the latest Avril Lavigne song adds
emotional relevance to the background.
Best Concert You’ve Ever Seen: Radiohead at Blossom in the summer of 2001, right
after Amnesiac came out. I laughed. I cried. I hurled. Faces were melted.
My Space or Facebook?: Facebook. But when my jazz fusion/xScEnEcOrEx/Christian
Freak Folk duo finishes their demo, I’ll convert to myspace so I can bombard
your account with useless notifications and tour dates.
iPod or iPod mini?: iPod.
Best Place to go on Vacation: Northern California
Place I would like to go: Greece
Best Place to go and Eat: any part of the Swensons chain in Northeast Ohio.
Best Gift You’ve Ever Received: this poster art book called “Swag” which ignited
my obsession with the gig art scene
Favorite Holiday: The 4th of July, purely because it makes drinking a
12 pack of High Life by yourself feel that much more American
Something from the past that you are a little embarrassed about: I applied to
Miami of Ohio my senior year of high school
Do You Like to Spontaneously Bust Out Into Song and Dance? Only if a Bloc Party
or Death From Above 1979 remix is playing
Do You Like to Rock or Roll? I’d rather rock- no great hair metal songs were
written about a desire to roll.
