Lesley: Awesome! Bril in the CD101 Big Room. All right guys, so Chris and
Kelly are brothers, right you two?
Bril: Yes
Lesley: Now how did you all hook up together?
Chris: Uh…well…he was born to my family. Then Dave and I…or Kelly knew Dave…we
just met through a circle of musicians in um…South Orange County…and then he was
involved. PJ was somewhere in the mix, and then it just kind of… dodododo…happened.
Lesley: Awesome, awesome. Uh, now the name Bril,
there’s a story behind it, right? Named after a building in New York or
something? Tell us about it.
*Tap tap* is this thing on?
Lesley: Uh huh
Brill: Um, no first it was kinda like a cool word we all loved, and then
it kinda adapted the meaning, and the Bril building is the main…uh… the
main meaning that we like. Um…its kinda the center of song writing, like
30’s 40’s 50’s, like Burt Backrack, like Frank Sinatra, its kinda like
the centre of innovative song writing, that we kinda felt inspired
to…you know…name the band after.
Lesley: All right! Bril, live in the CD101 Big
Room. Playing at the sold out CD101 day show tonight at the LC. Guys is
this one of your first festivals that you’ve been apart of?
Bril: Yeah, yeah
