Andyman: Let’s hear it for the Black Keys here in the CD101 Big Room!

Andyman: Yeah!  CD101 Big Room with the Black Keys playing tonight at the Newport Music Hall.  Thank you very much for uh, being here guys.  Uh, today’s selections are all going to be new numbers is what you told me before.  What’s the story on new music coming our way?

Black Keys: We are recording a record right now and we’re almost done.  That was not a new song, but the next two will be new songs.

Andyman: Well you were sharing that you were going to do that and that got me thinking about uh, the last record you recorded.  Where are you recording this one?

Black Keys: In Pat’s basement in Akron.

Andyman: Oh yeah?  The uh, you’re kicking off the tour, do you like touring?  Is that like what you do this for?

Black Keys: Sometimes

Andyman: Sometimes? 

Black Keys: No we do it just to play music I think but uh, touring is fun sometimes. Yeah.

Andyman: Yeah?  And the show tonight, there are still some tickets available so people can pick them up and are you ready to do another one?

Black Keys: Yeah let’s do it.

Andyman: All right the Black Keys in the CD101 Big Room!

Andyman: Black Keys in the CD101 Big Room, here with Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney.  Once again, I said it right before the Big Room started but thank you very much for being part of CD101 Day last year.  It was terrific to have you there and uh, we’re very thankful for it.  Thanks for coming out and playing the Big Room.  You’re always welcome to come back here anytime.  We talked a little bit about a new record, is there a projected, when would you like to see it come out?

Black Keys: Like August/September we’re hoping to put it out.

Andyman: August/ September?

Black Keys: Mm hm.

Andyman: Well that’s, that’s damn good news right there buddy.  Um, once again playing tonight at the uh, Newport Music Hall.  The most recent record was uh, Rubber Factory, you put out a DVD between you know, since then and now.  I’m sure you can pick those up at fine record stores all around.  At least uh, in the heart of the city and probably, well you can always connect with the bands that you like here at CD101 through CD101.com.  Uh, tonight at the Newport should be a heck of a show, huh?

Black Keys: Yeah we’re gonna try I guess. 

Andyman: Yeah?  That’s all we can do!  That’s it!  Once again the Black Keys in the CD101 Big Room. 

Black Keys: Here we go, this is a new song.  We’ve never played this in front of anyone so…
